Stick Figure Man
walks up to striped top's lemonade stand. This looks kinds cool, he thought. He made sure to mentally underline the fact that they were MIS-fortune cookies. He didn't know what that meant, but it sounded bad. He layed down enough money for two lemonade shots, and stared at the cookies. As threatening as the fine print and the name was, he loved fortune cookies. And, of course, the fortunes were just fun childs play. There was no truth in the stupid luck factor of those little pieces of paper. He wanted a cookie, darn it. He shuffled out enough money for a cookie, as well.

"Two shots, and a cookie please."

I know all I do is spam you guys b/c I'm lazy. I keep meaning to post b/c all the clubs are my interests, but I barely even post on my own journal.
Anyway, I have a bunch of stuff up on eBay b/c I need to fit into and afford a dorm room next year. Sum of it's pretty applicable to group interests, but if it's not, then be offended and yell. Whatever. So far I have a dragon snowglobe/waterball, a brand new boombox and a really gorgeous mantle/shelf clock.

Hello all. Normally I would not clog up forums and such like this, but I'm attempting to find RPers that may be interested in joining Oblivianatus, an original, open-ended, immensely versatile, free-form RPG. It takes place in a fantasy world similar in setting to the worlds of Warhammer, LotR, etc. Pretty much, it's fantasy, with a 'realistic' twist.

The reason I am posting this here is because the site is in need of players. I've been on the site since the beginning (Going on four years now.), and for a good while there was a very healthy number of willful players. At one point there was nearly two-hundred! (That may not seem a whole lot compared to other sites, but for a small, underground yet ingenious site like this one it was amazing.) However, over the past few months, the MODs of the site have pretty much publicly announced that there will be no further major updates (When I say updates, I mean stats and levels. In addition to the writing-aspect of the game, there was an intricate battle and questing-system in the works as well that required the use of your stereotypical character statistics, etc.), and many of the less-dedicated players took this statement a little too far and quit. It wasn't all at once, but over a slow, long period players just quit or forgot about the site altogether, one by one. Now, the game sits on the brink of death with only a handful of die-hard RPers left to breathe life into it. These people realize that RPing is about fun and not about updates or how awesome your caharcter is statistically. And pretty much, I'm looking for more people like this as a last, desperate attempt to keep the site alive. The fate of games like this ultimately rest in the hands of the gamers, not the people running the site. Like I said, I've been through a lot with this game, and I just don't want to give up on it yet. Call it a loyalty thing.

Anyway... Please consider giving it a look-through at least. Joining would be better :)

December 18th, 2004

A table sits at the far end of the Masquerade Ballroom, all eyes turned to the magnificent gifts that lay upon it's top..

A Gem rose; The petals made of glistening ruby, carved in an intricate way, they seem to magnify the topaz center and the long emerald leaves and stems of this precious flower. A Memory Harp, in which the musician can create images and moving scenes before their audience. A golden dragon egg, that spawns a tiny creature for your own; behind it sits the rearing mother, watching carefully. Every year this dragon will shed slivers of gold. A Transport mirror, and a smaller hand mirror, for the user to fling themselves to any space of land they wish to be on. A star made out of the finest, strongest glass, and within it, floating (contained?) in a special kind of water, rests the power of Star Fier. Yet there are still five resting covered beneath a peice of silk; what could possibly be hidden so? What creations are waiting for open hands?

Come to the continuation of the Masquerade Ball; Mass Rp, on December 18th! The mighty feast is still to be had, and for the women that join the very last dance? Those gifts sitting upon the table will be placed in their hands for whatever purposes they might wish.

You can find more information on our Red Dragon Inn Livejournal Community, our Message Board, or simply check out more about the RDI at the Red Dragon Inn's Webpage.

We hope to see you there to join in on the fun!

New Manga Webcomic: Wandering Souls
Check out a new manga webcomic at www.geocities.com/blackwolf13michael/Wandering_Souls.html
Many cultures compose the rich amalgam that is futuristic, yet almost reduced back to Feudal, Japan. A demon ronin with nothing to lose seeks a ki-lin (I warned you it's an amalgam), picking up a band of those as lost as he is along the way. They are wandering souls, criss-crossing this strange land in search of...something.

The Masquerade Ball Mass Roleplay was a booming success!

With over thirty people, the posts rolled across the screen as if they were a river of words. Quite alot of work for the two narrators, but all was enjoyed in the massive fun. There was action in almost every section; The Secret Room, the Garden, the Maze, and the main ball room. It lasted well beyond 2:00 am (eastern, starting at 9:00 pm, giving it a grand total of more then five hours!

But believe it or not, it's not finished yet! Still left is those who were caught in the maze to find their way to the end and discover their ultimate riches and wishes. The feast, the dancing, and one of the most waited for events, the Last Dance and the special gifts to be handed out to all the women, is still waiting to be done!!

If you wish to continue this grand fun (if you can keep up!), then meet us at The Red Dragon Inn on Saturday, November 20th, for the continuation of this wonderful mass roleplay.

You can also see a full account of every post, raw and unedited (so far, it will be straightened up soon!), on our Message Board.

Thankyou everyone for chipping in with ideas and for adding in to the wild fun!

The Red Dragon Inn's Masquerade Ball; Mass Roleplay

((There are spots still open for some key characters, get them before time runs out!))

Nestled deep within the woods rests a mansion, standing tall against a background of lucious trees and sparking blue skies, next to a clear and glistening lake. But not all is quiet and serene here; hammering, bangings, voices, clatter and noises of all kinds are heard from there to the very steps of the Inn. What could be the source of such a commotion?

A Masquerade Ball, that's what! Notices suddenly appear in all the public places; the town of Senesse, the Inn itself, and nearly every town surround them. Fun, adventure, suprises, and gifts are promised to those who can rummage up a mask. And indeed, adverture a plenty there will be! With the newly sprung Ataraythia Gardens comes the pleasure of rest and leisure from the crowd within. With the Maze of Llysaran comes the risky and dangerous adventure, but rewards at it's end; a chest for the victors filled with gold (that you could use at the Dragon's Merchant Shop ) and gleaming jewels.

Yet inside hides even more surprises. With entertainment while you fill your stomaches with wondrous food, and a last dance holding a special "game" for the women of the ball, you're sure to collapse at the end of the day, full of visions of this wondrous ball.

So lets go! There are spots to fill and costumes to make! We're looking for patrons that want to play the special part of the "Dancing Men", a key character in the game forthe woman, and woman to receive the gifts! yet the spots are going fast... Here is where you can find information on some of the events, and here you can find details and pictures of the garden or maze.

If you'd like to ask any questions, or enter in your character to the mass rp, you hop in here. But remember, all and any are welcome! Feel free to simply watch for the scheduled date of the mass roleplay, and surprise everyone by coming in with your character. Or if you'd simply like to watch? Welcome also! We hope to see you soon, and add your own bit to the mystical Masquerade Ball.

Updates on the Red Dragon Inn!

The Message Board.

The Notice Board

Apprentices wanted!!

APPRENTICE WANTED - - Must be thirteen years of age or older, and must have skill in magic or spellwork; wicca work also preferable. Training available if you hold none of the latter qualities. Must also have own transportation. Contact Tamsin Cruthers, Room 33 in the Red Dragon Inn. Knock once.

Bounties.

It seems there is a taste for blood this season; many people have been added to Sennesse's bounty board, along with rather inticing prices. Do you have the bravery to hunt after these murderers, theives, and outright criminals? How far are you willing to go for the promised rewards?

Orphen, a Black-winged boy of just about 16, always wearing, quite openly, a Katana, with a dragon carved into the hilt is wanted.
Crimes: Wanted by the Republic of Jendar, for escaping confinement in a prison, the slaughter of countless royal guard, and civilians alike. Organizing and performing the torching of the Village of Akar, and the poisoning of the Mendas river, causing many deaths in Mendas; capital of Jendar. Also believed to have killed a member of the La'arnien royal family, though it has not been confirmed.
Bounty offered: 320,000 Gp
Status: Dead or alive

Haelaosoapliaialiolthareaithea, a mace weilding drow. She's wanted for the bloody murders of 13 elves, and because of this obscene act, she is wanted dead. The juicy bounty is 52,000 gold.

Jake DePiercer, a bland and indistinguishable man, with simple brown locks of hair. Is often found in leathers and tathered silks, with obvious thief features, such as being lean, and with nimble fingers. Average height, below average size (very light), and with bright hazel eyes. Uses jeweled dagger. Though very bumbling and clumsy, subject is told to be dangerous in most predicaments.

Crimes and rewards.Collapse )

Orson, for the Rescue of Hugh Daion, and the murder of Mattock`Qaurel. Orson is a half demon beserker. He usualy wears a face mask and is followed by a trained attack dog. His head will be needed as proof.
Status: Dead or Alive.

Reward: 50,000gp.

The murdurous and trechourous Evening Song, Dyer's Fall,Fenril Argusti, and Alexander Farthein.Collapse )

Rescue: In an entirely unrelated mater, a bounty of 40,000 gold is offered for the safe return of the, at the time of this posting, missing child by the name of Kiev Farthien. He is believed at this time to be in the possession of several of Asenth's own children. Vampires, the bleeding bastards.

The Red Dragon Inn's Shop is now open for business!

Called the Dragon's Merchant, this shop sells all sorts of wonderful things. From armor, swords, and arrows, (magickal, nonmagickal, and custom made/fit), to gems, trinkets, potiens, and scrolls (magickal and nonmagickal also!).

Using the money you earn from Bounty Kills, or from money you've won in another roleplay (which will be kept in track by an operator), you can buy things from this shop. But you can do more then just buy! The Merchant offers trading services, for those travelers who deal not in gold but gems and other artifacts. You can also put your own items up on his shelves--with a little pay for himself, of course. The Merchant, for giving you the honor of show casing your items in his shop, asks for only a third of the price when it's sold.

For an introduction to the building of the shop, and a set of short rules, you can visit our message board here: The Dragon's Merchant.

Or, you can veiw the Introduction hereCollapse )

And the set of Small directions hereCollapse )

The items will only keep growing, and the Merchant will alw ays be waiting for a hearty buyer!

Special Updates for the Red Dragon Inn!

The Red Dragon Inn now has a Livejournal Community! It hosts special updates, like these, but even better; inside sneaks on ideas that are soon to come, or are even still in their thinking process stage. Roleplay's of the week are posted here on this journal, along with any special roleplay or advertisement you'd like to place upon it. To join, or to simply take a look around, you can go here: The Red Dragon Inn LJ Community.

A new mass roleplay is being planned! You can go to Collaberative Roleplay Discussion to take a look about the discussion of the Masquerade ball, descriptions and maps of the Ataraythia Gardens and the Maze of Llysaran, and to enter in your own ideas!

The Character Creation page has had a substantial addition, of names, pictures, biographies, and soon to come descriptions. To take a scroll through (which, thanks to the webmistresses, the scroll arrows have been given a faster speed), you can take a look here!

The Art page has also been added to, with a few new sites from our own patrons! (These will soon move into a specialized section for them. That's right--if you have any pictures of your own you'd like to show off, you can display them there!) You can take a look at their beautiful art here.

Our wonderful webmistress has created a new link for others to link us by..go take a look at her mastery!

Another Operator has graced us with joining the RDI Team. She has helped many times before, even when she had no need to, and I believe will be an even greater help to us. Welcome once again, Mallen!

The Red Dragon Inn's Messageboard has also had some wonderful additions to it.

The Bounty Board has yet another bounty...shall you take the risk to track down this murderer for the rich amount of gold? Or shall you stay hidden away, hoping another will do so?

A Trick, by Thaelyn is a moving peice about a rather sly young woman...Who would think such an innocent face as hers, carefully traced with tears, would convince this man she had been mistaken for her deed? To make him think he would take an opportunity for himself with her repayment. But no, see for yourself how the story turns.

The Showing; Kiteaa has been replied to also. The story reels on, with the deadly, seductive Mistress calling upon the urges of a young, unknowing woman...but how unknowing was she, exactly? Could Sacrament get her to succumb to the lust of heated life and the powers of night wrapped in a fist? Or would her own plan turn on her? Read on to find out...

One housekeeping, one rambuncious, and one missing sister...they make a three of horrible proportions in a house barely the size of a shed. But somehow, they survive, learning to live with each other. But when the eldest returns home with the strange looks of death upon her, and nothing the sisters can do help (along with a chicken flying from the sky from the trouble maker), what will they decide to do--if they can? Read on here, at The Sisters.

More poems have been added to the Bookworm section, along with a new section, called Jokes and amusements. Go see! There might be something in there that brightens a smile on a dull day

Some exciting new ideas and roleplays have come up on The Red Dragon Inn's message board!

"Phenious Le'Mont, Present Time" is a magnificent story about a long-bound vampire. The author posts a new post each day, giving the reader a little more excitement, a little more curiosity...slowly drawing you in to yearn for the next post. Truely creative, (as you will see as it progresses), this roleplay is sure to draw you in. I myself have seen a sneak preveiw in a sorts of upcoming posts, and can definitly say it will be heartpounding.

To take a look, you can see it here: Phenious Le'Mont.

"Vampirism--The way it should be, Part I" is also a current roleplay. A young woman, trapped in a mansion, is under the dangerous hold of a bloodthirsty, demented vampire. Kiteaa, (the hostage) is determined to find a way out, but Sacrament would never let the woman go...

To see this roleplay, you can go here: Vampirism.

Two new roleplay plots have come out!

The first is called "Brandon's wager," in which the main character of the plot has made a deathly deal. Whoever signs the mysterious peice of paper upon the Inn's walls join in on this dangerous game. Within this paper is scrawled the directions, yet perhaps the most important peices lies in its middle:

"If you can stay alive for 1 month, I will award you with the sum of 10, 000 gold coins, all 1000 years of age. However, there will be a catch: if someone kills you, -they- will get the 10,000 gold coins. I have posted this same peice of paper in every major Inn in the known world, and your name and picture will apear on all those papers if you so dare to sign."

Do you dare to play? Take a look here: Brandon's Wager.

The second is "Thane's Plot". Here, an unknown wave of murders washes over Senesse. None know who may be doing it, though many suspect vampirism is at the fault. Yet, once so many murders are commited, the leader is found--and yes, he is a vampire. But along with him are a near army of others like him...along with some newly turned, beloved citizens of Senesse.

Wish to join, or read more? You can go here: Thane's Plot

Underneath the Suggestions section of our messageboard, a few new ideas have been added, spurning patron's comments and asking for their thoughts, and votes.

The most current are:

Mass Roleplay, the first organized system of Mass roleplaying. Sneak in to give your own ideas to this system, or have the first storyline be created by you! All suggestions are open.

Creating a map of Senesse. Should a map be created of the long-lived town of Senesse? Or should we leave it up to the roleplayer's mind? Sneak in here to give your ideas.

Poems link on the webpage. Do you think the page would benefit from having a poems link, where patrons can go to submit and read many different types of poems?

Adding bits to others roleplay; do you think an Operator should, every now and then, add something to spice up a roleplayers storyline? Read everyones opinion and comment your own!

Within the world of Senesse, the people and land defy sensible thought; the undead walking, feeding on those of the living. Mysterious elves come out from their hiding to meet with others like them at the Inn, or simply to have a casual drink. Dwarves, Giants, shape shifters, minions of evil, or even simple humans slink from their hiding to be at the one place where human eyes will not judge them: Red Dragon Inn.

From far or near, come to visit this long-lived place. You'll be sure to find whatever you seek there, whether it be far beyond another mind, or as simple as can be. *Smiles, bowing* We'd surely love to see you there.

Delve deeper into the world of Senesse.Collapse )
((The page has recently been updated, with many thanks to our wonderful webmistress, Quialiss! More in depth characters for the Character creation page has been added, along with organizing a few others!))
